 1. How Many Songs are put out on the radio system per week?
Answer: In the Pop, Rock, Alternative genres there are appr. 22 songs released to the radio world a week. That is only about 75 minutes of new music a week.
2. Is there such a record lable of Murder Inc.?
Answer: No, Murder Inc. is a group of rap artists with a slogan for there genre of Columbia Records USA. It is just like many others (e.g., Ruff Ryders, Fo' Real).
3. How are weekly top 40's made?
Most Radio stations, like Star 106.9 and Rick Dees and by the demand (aka, requests) for a song, then we put them in the top 40 catagory and if more and more demands/request for a song, it moves up, less requests it goes down.
4. Do you already pick out the music for the next show?
The Dj picks out the music the day before its airing of his or her show, so yes. But in many ways no, for instence the DJ wants to be random he can, but that usually means more commercials, which commercials are paid for by how much time they want a week during a show.
