This division of Hyperion focuses on the development of local, regional and national advertising and promotional opportunities through commercial insertion on national cable networks, local /regional news networks and the Internet. As innovations in cable programming developed and viewership dramatically increased, cable television advertising not only entered the mainstream, it also quickly became established as a precise and effective alternative to mass or broadcast advertising. Since its initial inception, Hyperion Media Services has grown into an ad sales organization representing more than 5 million households covering more than 45 designated market areas (DMAs) in over 30 states from coast to coast.
